Unplanned Parenthood: The Christmas Story

This Christmas, as I see unbelievable and frightening events unfolding around the world, I have to remember one thing: God is in control. I don’t have to know the outcome of what is happening, because I know God deeply loves His creation, and He continues to enable triumph to arise from tragedy.

Christmas embodies everything that is good about humanity: a King who humbled Himself, unlike the elite of the day, to be born in a stable…a father who chose adoption over abandonment…two parents who risked everything to keep their child safe…and a courageous teenage mother who proved that she was stronger than her perceived circumstances.

Unplanned parenthood was transformed into the world’s most powerful game-changer, enabling each of us to be able to experience victory in the form of the ultimate salvation.

Every year, my spirit is constantly revived by these powerful examples of humility, faith, and intrepid love. This Christmas and into the New Year, may you be encouraged that no matter the weight of an increasingly lost culture, we can still rise. And in that joyous perseverance, we lift others around us. Thanks to a Savior who defies what is seen, we can also prove that we’re stronger than our own perceived circumstances.
