black and prolife
Mainstream media completely ignores us (with the exception of Fox News and the WSJ). The Democrat Party ignores us. Sometimes, even the GOP ignores us. But we’re here. Millions of us. And we challenge the false narratives that black Americans need Planned Parenthood and that abortion is healthcare. Abortion is fake health. Abortion is violence. Abortion is the #1 killer in the black community, outnumbering the top 20 leading causes of death, combined. For decades, in NYC (home of Planned Parenthood), more black babies have been aborted than born alive. The pro-abortion Left calls it “reproductive justice”. Dr. Delores Grier, a social worker who founded the Association of Black Catholics Against Abortion, declared: “Abortion is racism.” Dr. Mildred Jefferson called abortion a “new slavery.” Fannie Lou Hamer called it “genocide.” Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, powerfully asks: “How can the dream survive if we murder the children?” Those of us who are black and pro-life agree with all of these black women.
The Radiance Foundation was the first organization to launch public ad campaigns that exposed the hugely disproportionate impact of abortion in the black community. Our TooManyAborted.com campaigns called out Planned Parenthood’s eugenic past and unaltered racist and elitist DNA. Our campaigns caused a media firestorm, which resulted in Planned Parenthood releasing a 20-minute crockumentary called “A Vital Service” and holding a national bloggers’/journalists’ conference in their NYC headquarters. Of course, they can’t combat the facts delivered by passionate advocates for life (whether black, white or any hue in between), so they spend millions on more targeted propaganda via PP Black Community (formerly known as African-Americans for Planned Parenthood) and the more recent pandering effort of Stand with Black Women.
Planned Parenthood is the leading killer of black lives. In an email to supporters (see “This is Systemic Racism” slide), the abortion giant proclaimed: “The fact is: Black people are our base.” Yes. We are their base for targeting with abortion. According to their latest report (2021-2022), they killed 374,155 precious lives of any hue. The CDC reports 41.5% of national abortions are of black lives. That gives an estimated 155,274 black babies killed by the abortion giant, or a shocking 425 per day! The so-called reproductive justice movement is a fraud. There’s no justice in the killing of millions of our children or the exploitation of women by a multi-billion-dollar abortion industry. It’s reproductive injustice.
The NAACP even came after us. After launching our “Black & Beautiful” campaign in the San Francisco Bay Area/Oakland, the NAACP bizarrely branded it “racist” and that we were “creating an illusion that Planned Parenthood is an organization that is murdering black babies.” 425 per day. 425! So we wrote an article about the NAACP’s radical pro-abortion position and actions calling out the once-great civil rights group’s tragic solidarity with Planned Parenthood. The article was entitled: “The National Association for the Abortion of Colored People.” They sued us, ironically, for exercising our #freespeech! After two years in federal court (and thanks to Alliance Defending Freedom), we won this crucial landmark First Amendment case. Sadly, the NAACP is still radically pro-abortion.
We’re black and prolife. And we will fight to end what our dear friend and fellow abolitionist Catherine Davis calls the “scourge of abortion” in the black community. Famed civil rights leader Fannie Lou Hamer called it “genocide”. We will fight to end the violence of abortion that touches all of us, regardless of hue. This is the civil rights fight of our day. Without Life, nothing else matters.
