“Should Have Been Aborted”: Award-winning Creative Releases Bold and Revealing Autobiography
LEESBURG, VA — Conceived in rape but adopted in love, Radiance Foundation’s cofounder, Ryan Bomberger, has released a new autobiographical book and documentary entitled Should Have Been Aborted. Both projects detail an incredible journey of triumph rising from tragedy. From a brave birthmother to adoption into a diverse family of fifteen, Bomberger’s life defies mainstream myths about the “unwanted” child. As a husband and father of four children (two were adopted), he’s passionate about challenging a worldview that falsely believes unplanned equals unwanted equals unloved.
The powerful book and documentary are simultaneously being launched, today, May 5th at 7pm ET at megachurch Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia (led by Pastor Gary Hamrick). The Radiance Foundation will debut the documentary as well as both hardcover and softcover versions of Should Have Been Aborted. Bomberger, a graduate and Alumnus of the Year of Regent University, will feature a team of worship leaders from his alma mater. His family will join in the introduction of the documentary. The entire event will be livestreamed on the Radiance Foundation’s Facebook page, here, starting at 7pm ET.
“I’ve been denounced by the ACLU. Feared by Planned Parenthood. Smeared by mainstream media. And even sued by the NAACP. I must be doing something right,” says Bomberger, an Emmy Award-winning creative professional, columnist, and author. “God defies the world’s foolishness. I’ve been told to my face that I ‘should have been aborted’. Instead, I’m alive to fight a warped mindset that rejects the inherent equality of every human being. I defend the most marginalized amongst the marginalized, because that was once me.”
Dr. Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King Jr., will be also speak at the launch event. “Ryan is a creative genius,” Dr. King says of her longtime friend. “My hope is that as readers and viewers encounter Ryan’s story, they will see beyond society’s empty slogans and propaganda. They will see destiny. They will see legacy. And they will understand that life—every life—is precious and worth defending. Ryan is living proof of that.”
Should Have Been Aborted, in hardcover and paperback forms, are currently available in the Radiance Foundation’s online store and will be available on Amazon on May 5th. Screenings of the documentary can be scheduled at www.ShouldHaveBeenAborted.com. Bomberger was named one of the fifty most influential pro-life leaders in the last fifty years in a fascinating compendium called the Legacy of Life.
