Planned Parenthood’s “1 in 5 Women” Lie

It’s really hard to keep up with all of Planned Parenthood’s lies and distortions. Congressman Steve Cohen (D), at the first House Judiciary hearing on the abortion chain, absurdly called Planned Parenthood “one of the finest organizations” in this country and that “Planned Parenthood is part of my DNA”. Uhhh, what? An organization that has the blood of over 300,000 human lives on its hand is one of the “finest” organizations and part of your DNA? Time to change your cellular makeup. He also resorts to the frequent false claim that somehow abortion, which is the number one killer in the black community, helps black women. Killing our Posterity, regardless of that child’s race or ethnicity, only causes mortality statistics to rise–not people.

This is why there is a huge chasm between liberalism and, well, truth. They frolic in the land of make-believe while we stand firm on the other side, defending Life and Liberty.

Cecile Richards, the overpaid $958k/year abortion mogul, has no use for facts. Why be honest now? Her predecessor and celebrated Planned Parenthood racist and elitist founder–Margaret Sanger–was a pathological liar, knowing the axiom that if you say it enough, people will believe it. Which is why Richards told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos everything she wanted the public to hear–fabrications. It’s a lot easier to defend the nation’s largest abortion and baby-parts-trafficking chain when you don’t have any mainstream journalists actually investigating or challenging your claims.

But Richards and her Planned Parenthood empire can’t get away with their arrogant assertions any more. “One in five women in this country depend on Planned Parenthood for their healthcare–more than two and a half million people every single year,” claimed the abortion chain president (see comment at 3:34 in this video) on ABC. Really? 1 in 5?

According to Planned Parenthood’s 2013-2014 Annual Report, they “served” 2.7 million people. Of course, this number can’t and hasn’t been verified by any other source, but we’ll accept it for this simple calculation. The Census Bureau estimates that there were 105,742,712 women of reproductive age (15-64) in this country in 2013. So, even if every single person that Planned Parenthood “served” were female, that would only be 2.5% of women! So, we’re talking less than 1 in 40 women “depend on Planned Parenthood” for their limited “healthcare”. This 1 in 5 lie is often repeated by Planned Parenthood, with no so-called MSM journalists ever bothering to do the math.

Why doesn’t Planned Parenthood trust the American public with the truth? Because, just like every euphemism they use for the violent, bloody, barbaric act of abortion, they have to create an imaginary world where an industry that kills is viewed as compassionate and needed.

Back in 1995, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America board forced Pamela Maraldo to resign, refusing to give her a vote of confidence. She had spearheaded the Planned Parenthood Reinvention Plan which, in large part, proposed to change the abortion chain into a comprehensive general healthcare provider. According to the New York Times: “Planned Parenthood officials stressed that the group’s work would continue unchanged, that demand for its services was rising and that it was financially sound.”

And that demand? Abortion. Abortion. Abortion. That’s PPFA’s business model. It is everything to them. So they will lie, cheat, kill and destroy to protect it.
