January 2023 Recap

The Radiance Foundation kicked off the year with our friends from South Carolina! Ryan served as the keynote speaker for South Carolina Citizens for Life’s gala dinner on Friday, January 6th and then keynoted at the Stand Up For Life Rally on Saturday alongside Attorney General Alan Wilson, Lt. Governor Pamela Evette, and others. Thousands gathered at the state Capitol to commit to a continued fight for life after the state’s Supreme Court supremely failed its role and decided to legislate from the bench, invalidating SC’s ban on abortion. Pro-lifers won’t stop until mother and child are protected. This fight, even when pro-life laws are enacted, will go on as long as humankind exists.

Bethany and Ryan Bomberger were invited to keynote and participate in a national Stand for Life leadership forum with Evangelical leaders from across the country and in every sphere of uplifting human dignity. Bethany delivered a powerful talk on how Family Matters: Becoming Pro-Life Parents (we’ll provide the Youtube link when the video is released). Ryan discussed with the forum how The Radiance Foundation, rooted in the truth that every human life has God-given purpose, is shifting culture with our creativity and factivism.

For over ten years, The Radiance Foundation has been a staple at the March for Life Expo! We love meeting people face to face and equipping pro-life advocates with great truth gear! We also made available for the first time at an event our new illustrated children’s book – She Is She. Our Radiance crew met hundreds of people and were able to share why we are so passionate about illuminating God-given purpose!

This year, we introduced our Pro-Life Kids! mascot – Zoe (which means “life”)! She was a huge hit with kids and adults alike. From our hardcover Pro-Life Kids! book, to our Coloring and Activity book to t-shirts, color-changing cups, sports packs and stickers, we have lots of gear for your pro-life kid. Most importantly, our passion is to teach them an age-appropriate pro-life worldview. In March, we will have a multi-age and multi-stage Pro-Life Kids! curriculum that we’re developing for American Heritage Girls and the public. The Radiance Foundation was able to share our life-affirming message and factivism in January on Fox News, EWTN, CBN, The Mike Gallagher Show, Decision Magazine, and numerous radio/online news outlets. Ryan’s OpEds regularly appear, too, in The Christian Post and Townhall. (Ryan has also resumed his commentaries with World News Group’s The World And Everything In It as of February 1st.)

Over the years, The Radiance Foundation has loved collaborating with Students for Life in events across the country. Ryan was happy to join Rev. Dean Nelson, Peter Range, and a room chock-full of men to talk about abortion for SFLA’s UNSTOPPABLE conference. It was incredible (video forthcoming)! It was an hour of power as pro-life leaders brought context, clarity and a challenge to high-school and college students to fight the injustice of abortion. The excitement for Life in the room was amazing.

What a blessing to be part of the first Post-Roe March for Life! Reportedly, over 100,000 people came to DC to celebrate! The Radiance Foundation crew (comprised of some staff and a few family members) walked the new route, past the Capitol building, and joined many in rejoicing for the historic victory of Roe being overturned. We know the battle will continue in the states and, most importantly, in hearts and minds. We’ll never stop fighting to protect God-given purpose and worth.

Bethany and Ryan Bomberger went to NYC to be on the Eric Metaxas Show to talk about their new book, ‘SHE IS SHE‘! Metaxas, a multiple New York Times bestselling author, highly endorsed the book, saying: “Ryan and Bethany Bomberger’s book SHE IS SHE is an unmitigated delight! Ryan Bomberger was the keynote speaker, alongside the incredible Governor Greg Abbott, at the Texas Rally for Life. Ryan joined Emcee Claire Culwell (twin abortion survivor), Texas Alliance for Life’s Executive Director Joe Pojman and others to celebrate the banning of abortion in the Lone Star state. Ryan even asked to become an honorary Texan; Governor Abbott immediately agreed! In addition to speaking to thousands at the rally, Ryan keynoted at the Texas Right to Life Boots on the Ground conference. Pojman commented about Ryan: “We loved Ryan’s speech at the 2023 Texas Rally for Life. His message was absolutely right for the event, and he immediately won over the hearts of the thousands of attendees. No one will forget Ryan’s description of how he came to be, ‘conceived in rape, adopted in love.'”
